# Counties and prospects

> What a county subscription gives you, how to browse and filter prospects, and what happens when a county is archived.

You subscribe to Outbound Legal one county at a time. This page explains what you get for each county, how to find the people you want to reach, and what changes when a subscription ends.

In the app, counties are listed under **Jurisdictions**.

## What a county subscription gives you

For each county you subscribe to, you get:

* **A prospect list.** New prospects from that county appear in the app as they come in.
* **Campaigns in that county.** Your campaigns can mail letters or postcards, send you spreadsheets, or sync audiences to Meta for the prospects in that county. See [Campaigns](/help/campaigns).

Exactly what's included, and for how long, is set out in your subscription agreement.

## See the prospects for one county

1. In the sidebar, open **Jurisdictions**.
2. Click the county name.
3. The **Prospects** tab opens, showing that county's prospects. The total count is shown above the list.

## See prospects across all your counties

1. In the sidebar, open **Jurisdictions**.
2. Click **All Jurisdictions**.

This shows one list across every county you have, including archived ones. A **County** column is always shown so you can tell where each prospect came from.

## Sort and filter the list

* **Sort:** click a column heading. Click again to reverse the order.
* **Filter:** under each column heading is a filter box. Type in it to narrow the list — for example, a town name under **Incident Town**. Yes/no columns have a menu with **Any**, **Yes**, and **No**. You can filter on several columns at once.
* **Pages:** use **Previous** and **Next** at the bottom to page through long lists.

To clear a filter, empty its box (or set it back to **Any**).

## Choose which columns you see

1. Click **Columns** above the list.
2. Tick or untick columns. Some columns have a small info icon that explains what they contain.

The app remembers your choice. A dot on the **Columns** button means new columns are available.

## Download the list

1. Click **Download CSV** above the list.
2. Pick which columns to include:
   * **Visible columns** — just what you see on screen, in your order.
   * **All columns** — every available column. This set can grow as we add columns.
   * **Legacy columns** — a fixed set that never changes. Use this if you import the file into another system and need the same layout every time.
3. Click **Download**.

The download includes every prospect on the page you're viewing — one county, or all your counties from **All Jurisdictions**. The filter boxes don't narrow the download. To send a filtered list on a schedule, use a spreadsheet campaign with a saved filter (see [Campaigns](/help/campaigns)).

## Send one prospect through a campaign

You can run a single prospect through one of your active campaigns — for example, to mail a letter to someone right away.

1. On the prospect list, click the menu button at the start of the row.
2. Choose **Run Campaign for this prospect**.
3. Pick a campaign and confirm.

Only active campaigns in that prospect's county are offered.

## Add a county

1. In the sidebar, under **Jurisdictions**, click **Add Jurisdiction**.
2. Tell us which county you'd like and send the message.

We'll confirm availability and pricing with you. Counties have a limited number of spots, so we can't always add every county.

## Archived counties

When your subscription to a county ends, that county becomes **archived**. You don't lose what you already had.

* The county moves to the **Archived** section of the sidebar and the **Archived jurisdictions** list on the home page.
* You can still open it and see the prospects you received while you were subscribed. A banner at the top says the county is archived and shows the date your data runs through.
* No new prospects are added.
* Campaigns no longer run in that county.
* An archived county still shows up in **All Jurisdictions**.

To start receiving new prospects again, click **Reactivate this jurisdiction** in the banner, or contact us. Reactivating depends on a spot being available in that county.
